As you watch the video, it goes through shots of employees and also animation they’re working on. We see a few clips of the Game Cube teaser trailer we saw months ago.

After “Passion” comes up, there appears to be a digital character being loaded.

Hmm… unsure right?

Look closer at the side (rotated):

Text clearly reads: “Loading Guardian”.

But on to what we’ve been waiting to see…. if you mouse-over “Work” you’ll see a menu and in that menu is “ReBoot“.

Once clicked, you’ll get a media player with a still image which says:

Once you click the play button, we get a quick pan through a digital city, with rooftops resembling circuit boards and in place of windows are 0’s and 1’s. The camera then focuses upward into the clouds as lightning strikes and a somewhat familiar looking purple cube descends on to the camera as we hear “Warning Incoming Game” (it should be noted the voice is not of Kathleen Barr, who while the majority of fans know for her role as Dot Matrix, she also provided the Mainframe System Voice). It fades from that into “ReBoot PREPARE FOR THE UPGRADE” and the Rainmaker logo then follows.

It should be noted that at this point in time none of the original creators are involved with the “new” ReBoot (they have yet to be asked by Rainmaker).

Here we have ReBoot Co-Creator Gavin Blair accompanied by (from left to right in the video) Michael Donovan, Shirley Milliner, Garry Chalk, Ian James Corlett, Sharon Alexander, Paul Dobson, Scott McNeil, and Michael Benyaer via the Net on the big screen, reminiscing about the series we all love!

A new countdown appeared on reboot.com earlier this week, its purpose is currently unknown. What could this countdown lead to? Since Rainmaker has been quiet for a few months… let’s hope it will bring new information about the fate of our beloved series.

Along with the countdown, there is a link to a Twitter page by “Mike the TV”. The Twitter lists the current progress of what the countdown seems to be for, a total site redesign.

It’s hard to believe, but Gavin is finally making an appearance at the birthplace of ReBoot- Vancouver BC! What better place than at Anime Evolution from June 12-14th, 2009. There will be a ReBoot Q&A and Gavin will be signing at the DMF Comics booth.
